What happens when you are referred to MediSleep?

MediSleep is located in North Caulfield.

When your doctor initiates the referral, he/she will decide whether you need to see the sleep physician prior to your sleep study or not.

You will need to phone in (03 9504 8400) and make a booking for the overnight sleep study. At the time of the booking we will need information about your private health insurance details in order to run a check and to be able to fully inform you of any out of pocket costs that you may incur.

An information pack will be sent to you in the mail, containing all the details of your stay.

You would normally arrive at pre-schedules times of 7.15pm, 8pm or 8.45 pm. You will be greeted by one of our clinicians on arrival and shown to your room.

The study is recorded between approximately 11pm and 6am.

Breakfast is provided as is an educational programme about better sleep in the morning. You can, however, leave earlier if you need to.

A subsequent appointment will be made with our sleep physician to discuss the results of the study and follow up management plan.
